Executive Director – Kay Hugus

Kay Hugus joined as the Executive Director at St. Nicholas Early Learning in December 2021. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Purdue University and has over 30 years of experience working with children, staff and families. Kay is thrilled to spread her passion to the St Nicholas team and families and describes the center as a small but mighty gem nestled in the shadows of downtown Indianapolis.  She works to empower staff, board members, families and the greater community to support and strengthen the mission of St Nicholas: a safe, welcoming and high quality childcare serving children of diverse racial and socioeconomic backgrounds.

During non-working hours, Kay is an avid FANatic supporter of all things Boilermaker, Colts and Pacers.  She can also be found volunteering with a local blind baseball team as well as sitting on several other non-profit boards.
